During my recent stay, the hotelโs air conditioning was not functioning properly. Despite running the unit all night, the room never cooled below 76ยฐF, making the stay extremely uncomfortable.
Additionally, although I prepaid for the reservation through Expedia, the hotel requested a credit card for incidentals. The next day, I discovered multiple unexpected charges on my card, totaling over $700. My credit card was frozen due to suspected fraud. When I contacted the hotel, they apologized and claimed it was a mistake, assuring me it had been corrected. However, later that same day, they charged my card againโand the next day, they added another $400 in charges.
When I called for assistance, I was told a manager would return my call, but no one ever did. I eventually had to escalate the issue to the hotelโs corporate office. Iโm still in the process of disputing the charges and recovering my money.
This experience was extremely stressful, and Iโm requesting Expediaโs assistance in resolving these issues and ensuring this doesnโt happen to other travelers.
