"This was our 3rd year staying here. It’s a great middle point for Storyland & Santas Village (about 30 minute to each). The hotel has a pool and hot tub, they even had pool toys for the kids. Cute little benches outside the rooms and a great common area in the middle with picnic tables, grills, corn hole etc.
Shower has great water pressure with plenty of hot water and the beds are comfortable.
The town has a great playground for the kids, and we’ve always liked the local restaurants. Would recommend!"
"It’s very quiet. The tents are well constructed, & can withstand wind, rain (we experienced both) without issue. The main lodge tent is supplied with a small kitchen, snacks, & merch. The fire pits are abundant (3 total) & there is ample seating. Parking is easy in & out.
At night the sky is beautiful. Unfortunately it was cloudy, raining for our stay so star gazing was limited. On clear nights it must be breathtaking. The beds are remarkably comfortable. Better than some hotels actually.
If you have never seen the Milky Way, I would recommend this as a destination. Definitely an enjoyable experience."
"First, the positives - A beautiful old hotel. We enjoyed the meals we had on premise at 1902 and the coffee shop. We stayed in the older, historic section. The room was clean except for a very icky rusty shower drain.
The negatives - the room walls were very thin. Our family had 2 rooms but another party was placed in between us. this party had 3+ children that continually screamed and ran up/down the halls. It was so bad that we eventually called the front lobby. They promised security would come up to ask them to be quiet. No security ever arrived. Totally sucked for the rest of the guests on that floor. When checking out, I complained to mgt and they removed the "self parking" fee (which shouldnt be a thing) and the resort fee,"
"This was a return trip staying there. It gives you a mountain feeling staying there. It is very clean and the beds aren't bad. It was too cold for the swimming pool which is sparkling clean. We had the unit with small kitchen. It was nice if we wanted to cook or even popcorn. The price is right and enjoy the mountains behind you"
"This was a cute, basic room. The charm is in the idea of a cabin in rural NH. The room fit our needs for the night so we could be close to the Cog Railway."
