We were really disappointed by this trip. We booked our stay before travel. Once we found out our trip would be delayed we rung 9 times throughout the day to no avail. On our 10th call the property finally answered, we told them we would be late and offered our arrival time and got confirmation over the phone. They then text 1 hour later cancelling our booking under the guise of "disrupting other guests" - this gave us no time to find another place to stay and also all of our contact was very rude and blunt. Very, very shallow and unacceptable.

Einfach unglaublich gut !

Auf unserer Neuseeland Rundreise war dieser Aufenthalt bei Goldfield Suites mit Abstand das Beste was wir erlebt haben. Manchmal wird man dafür belohnt wenn man auch Unterkünfte die wenige Km Abseits des Highway liegen mit einbezieht. Es war alles absolute Spitze. Wir haben echt bedauert das wir nach zwei Tagen schon wieder fahren mussten. Liebe Jolene, liebe Andrew ihr macht einen wirklich fantastischen Job.

Perfect Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Goldfield Suites. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and peaceful, with everything on hand. We liked our 1st two nights so much we extended our stay. Can't say enough about how lovely and helpful Andrew & Jolene are. Andrew went above and beyond to sort out a fishing rod problem, which I was extremely grateful for. Full recommendations

The owners were helpful with good suggestions for what to do and see during our brief visit to the coast, We followed the advice and made a day trip of Punakaiki and the Denniston plateau/mining village.

I booked with the expectation of a beautiful view, as stated on my booking, it says 'Hill View", There's none. All I can see from our room is a parked car in front and the roof of the unit in front of us. Worse the unit is in between the reception and a unit occupied by the staff or the owner. I also really regret it, knowing it's far from the center of the town, I choose the view over convenience, but I didn't get the view, there's no view at all. I didn't like the tone of the answer from the owner or staff when I asked about it. It seems the front units have the view, we are on further at the back hidden from the view. So, all in all, I'll give my experience of our stay 1 STAR.

Beautiful property just outside of town. So peaceful with a beautiful view of the hills. The cabin was perfect - very clean and well maintained (other than the exceptionally large spider I found in the living room!). The hot tub was private and great to enjoy, and Andrew was very welcoming. Definitely would recommend!
