โGreat location, next to Historic Dockyard and Gunwharf Quay (for Spinnaker Tower, food and shopping).
Staff were great: friendly, polite and helpful.
Very clean and well maintained.
Good breakfast. Plenty of dinner options nearby. โ
โI stayed at the royal maritimime hotel for 2 nights and the room was very comfortable, the bathroom was lovely and big and there was daily housekeeping. Only downside is I noticed after the housekeeping had been, in the shower the small bottle of shower gel was still on the floor in the shower so I don't think the shower had got done but that is my only criticism.
I had breakfast on my first day and there was good choice and it was nice and hot , I choose to have breakfast in town on my 2nd day...
โAlthough we were in one of the anexes, this hotel worked out well.
Staff were always smiling and laughing with us.
Dinning options with indoor, conservatory, outdoor covered and outdoor gave all the choices you could want . โ
โSteve was really friendly and helped us find a nice place for dinner and breakfast.
Kindly sorted a parking space on the property as I think it was a quiet night. But thereโs also a huge car park on the other side of the building.
More to do at the property than we realised. The communal area is brilliant. Donโt waste your money in the arcades as thereโs loads to do at the hotel: pool, air hockey, table tennis, old school games table (pac man etc), sound system to choose your own music.

โWe had a very enjoyable stay at Strattons Hotel. The hotel was one of six I believe. We were just over the road from reception and where the restaurant is located. Very clean room which wasnโt as big as I was expecting but more than adequate for myself and my husband. I arranged for a bottle of Prosecco to be in the room for when we arrived, this was done along with a birthday card - lovely touch. Breakfast was brilliant. Quality meat we got to enjoy breakfast outside twice as the weather was...
โRoom was not your bog standard decor but was unique, bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large with an excrllet shower.
The staff were polite and would acknowledge you even if you were just passing.
Kim who was on reception when we arrived was a standard bearer for the hotel group, she was very welcoming and went above and beyond when we required some direction assistance.โ
โIbis seemed quite modern, smelt nice and comfortable. Staff could have been more engaging. We only had 3 pillows for our double bedโฆshould have been 4?
Breakfast was decent and hot.
Would stay again.โ
โSurprised, me and my wife booked as we had to stay unexpectedly for the weekend & was expecting a tired worn hotel and found an absolute gem, friendly helpful staff fantastic building and a wonderful large corner room with views to front and side, it's well maintained and very clean, I will definitely book again when I come down on business instead of staying in the more modern hotels with no character โ
โI wasn't aware until I checked in online that the keycard was going to be in a lock box. All good though, seemless entry into property. The room was clean with kettle, coffee, tea, with UHT milk being replenished each day. Double bed with 3 good size pillows.
The bathroom was nice, decent size shower, no issues with hot water. There was a fan supplied, which was great. TV worked fine once I worked out how to change channels. I believe there was a small share fridge and microwave in the...
โIf you are interested in the Victory or the Mary Rose it is right across the street. Super great. Parking down the street was easy but prefer not to have to do it. But if you have to remote park, it wasn't a big deal. It was pretty easy.โ
