“This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. And I have stayed in 100s. Staff could went above and beyond, the place is stunning, the rooms are spectacular and the breakfast was excellent. I wish I could stay every weekend.”

“The staff were very nice and helpful. The main areas of the hotel are pleasant and the hotel was clearly once a very grand building. The superior double room we had was a bit tired but the main problem was the heat. It was facing the afternoon sun and it had been a hot day. No attempt had been made to draw the curtains to keep the heat out so as a result the room was absolutely stifling. The window would only open about 2 inches so no fresh air could get in overnight. “There were two restaurants near one Greek and one Latin American we tried the latter and it was good, the Greek one was closed Monday. Staff were welcoming, small family run hotel so personal. Nice bar area. Breakfast was included (continental) but they did offer boiled eggs or bacon bap or sausage bap in the morning.”

“Block I was in had safe gated parking for £15 a night. My room was up several floors of stairs, so very glad I only had light luggage. But the room was stylish, comfortable and clean. Great breakfast in the resturant in another block over the road. Would stay again if in Southsea.”
