While the cleanliness of the room and the lack of transportation options could be considered minor downsides, the room quality was still reasonable given the price. “We had an overnight stay before boarding our ship the next day. Parking for me was great and complimentary but I do think there is a charge normally. At reception we were met and our cases were taken care of by the porters, receptionists x 3 were at hand for booking in. We had booked a standard room

Loved the Manor House/main building, which has an interesting and quirky history, dating back to the 1600s.
Rooms are basic, a bit dated and located separately from the main building - now a conference centre - and are a complete contrast to the lovely 17th century features of the manor.
Room was also quite hot as there is no air conditioning.
Staff were welcoming and friendly. Check in was very quick. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine...
