"We enjoyed our short 3 night stay at West Coast Inn in March 2026. We came to Hakuba to see the mountains and the snow, and the weather cooperated!! Our host at West Coast was wonderful and gracious! We plan to come back next year!"

"Very helpful staff. Shower, bath tub and wash basin all combined in same room so bathroom floor tends to get very wet."

"The restaurant option closes at 8pm. Something the staff did not explain upon check in. The bar doesn’t open till 4pm in the afternoon. Again, something the staff did not explain. They don’t have any vending machines with food options. Seriously so no food on site after 8pm and nothing available to eat. They don’t have vending machines with Beer or Liquor options. There were no towels in the shower area. Yes they give you an Onsen towel and small towel in a tote bag but come on. Have proper towels for the room for when you shower. Lastly, their shuttle service doesn’t run until after the first bus from Hakuba t Nagano runs so we had to take Taxi’s into the town-1.5KM. "

"Loved this hotel. Very friendly staff and beautiful rooms and onset. Staff transferred us from and to the train station. There is a bus stop right outside that take you to happo, Hakuba 47, Goryu and Iimori all free of charge. Short walk to Echoland restaurants and a great Ramen restaurant opposite the local 7-11."

"Good option if you’re looking for something very close to the ski lift. Unpleasant smell all around probably due to the building being old."

"Property was amazing. Staff was kind enough to accommodate my request for a private onsen room. Which I should have booked initially but didn't realize was an option. Shuttle bus stop at the front door will take you to various ski resorts in the area. Staff is excellent, helpful, kind. Restaurant is great! Had use of a ski locker as well. Full locker, not just a place to hang skus and poles. "

"The room was spotless, the ski storage room was so convenient. The staff were a small family who were unbelievably nice, would go above and beyond and do anything for you. Breakfast every morning was phenomenal. Was located very close to the main road for food and drinks. Would love to think we would go back in a heart beat. There was even a communal area where you were able to warm up food with cluttery and crockery. "
