“hotel very central and staff welcoming. However, servicing of room left much to be desired. On arrival, only one teabag between us and then realised in morning that we had only one towel.
Would have expected room to be serviced in the morning but apart from replenishing the bottled water, teabags and milk not topped up, mugs and glasses not washed and bed unmade.
Breakfast cold buffet items ok but coked food although tasty was fairly dried out.”
“The staff were great and friendly, food was really good, especially the breakfast. The bedroom was really comfortable and the bed, pillows etc excellent.
Stair carpets are tired and stained which gives a negative impression, could be rectified at not too much cost.
Loved the atmosphere, would stay again”
“The staff here were lovely but the hotel leaves a lot to be desired, overall cleanliness was poor and the decor dated, it's trying to be a boutique hotel but has more the vibe of an old people's home. It needs a serious cash injection, decorator and deep clean!”
“The rooms were nice but need a bit of updating, worth paying for garden room as twice we saw deer in the garden, there is one sofa in the bar area that is filthy and torn and needs binning”
