The Lodge is old and maintained in the best way they can. It is clean and quiet. The mattresses died years ago. The double lock on the room was not functional. Breakfast is nothing to write home about. I would probably not stay there again although it was adequate for our needs. There is a lake view from the back patio, but at some distance. Parking was convenient.

Disliked: Amenities
This property is a pleasant place to stay in a good location with a limited view of Lake Chatuga. The facilities need some updating, and fixtures could be greatly improved. The breakfast was nearly non-existent with limited pastries and cereal. The website suggests there is a restaurant at the lodge, but there is not. There is a very nice barbeque restaurant down the hill from the lodge with great food, but walking to it would require a steep walk back up the hill to the lodge. There are nice sitting areas in the lodge, but not what we expected to experience.
