Comfortable rooms and Fantastic Value

Fantastic value, extremely comfortable and generously proportioned room which I would have paid double for in some parts of the country. Hotel is in a lovely setting fronted by a cricket pitch, and the staff were all personable and attentive.

Lovely hotel with traditional look and feel

Set in a beautiful location this traditional hotel is a great base for anyone looking to explore the local countryside. My trip was budiness based and was perfectly adequate for my needs. Food and service were excellent but if you want a high tech and luxury stay this is not what this hotel is about.....good traditional hotel.

Staff and food excellent. Booked a Superior Double room at £172, unfortunately we got a family room with a single bed and what looked like a Queen bed. Black mould on the bathroom ceiling and a light hanging out, bare wires above the bedroom mirror, heating was not on and we came back to a cold room, had to get the staff to sort the heating out, and although there is tea and coffee in the room with a kettle, there was no milk provided and so we could not make a cuppa in the morning.

My single superior room was just what the Doctor ordered a haven to reset and decompress. I used the pool which was quite large and not over run with people thanks to booked time slots. I had a double bed and great views a great room for a single traveller. I had a lovely stay and will definitely visit again as it really does represent value for money

Delightful in all ways

Delightful stay with incredibly friendly & willing staff, nothing was too much trouble. A mixture of old and new & my room(in the garden block) was spacious, modern & a lovely view from the patio over the cricket pitch & down to the Tyne. Food was very good,I ate in the bar but you can go more formal if you want. Hotel is in an enviable position, just outside Bellingham so access to roads easy. Even an indoor pool. If you like comfort, without formality,I would highly recommend.
