“Didn’t have to park I used public transport. The room was smaller than I expected, and no chair or kettle and limited storage space, shower worked well. I thought it was worth the money as the location was central to the city. Fan in room was noisy at times as were the other guests.”

“Stayed here several times now and never had a problem. This time we went for a suite and the extra few pounds really was worth it as the rooms were huge and had everything you would want plus as usual very clean. Great location and lovely old building. Only negative is I think they should reserve parking for hotel guests as if they have an event on its first come first served basis. During the day it’s not an issue but I popped out for 20 minutes in the evening and came back to find a choir...

“Breakfast had a fairly good range, although no yoghurt on both days and no pastries on the second. The room was clean, however there were hairs on the bath room floor, which went on to the floor mat. There were no coffee cups in the room, I did request these, but had to go and get from the restaurant a few hours later. Ac could not be switched on below 19•c it got very warm in the room, the window had security locks, so we’re unable to get enough of a breeze. The food was lovely, a good...

“This is a great location if you’re going to an away game at Ipswich Town Football club. The hotel is great - pretty similar to a Hampton by Hilton in format and style. It’s just over the Bobby Robson bridge so an easy walk to the ground or the town and a slightly longer walk along the tow path to the Marina area. Staff are excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Food is good. I ate there for an evening meal and it was freshly cooked and tasty. On site parking so we left the car there for the match...

“Great breakfast but they charged me adult price for children. Location is great, so close to the pier. The room didn’t look like it was cleaned properly, especially the bathroom. ”

“Fan went off every 20 seconds during the night, wasn’t aircon as that was switched off so not sure what it was but kept me awake all night. Door didn’t lock properly when vacating the room. Tried about ten times. Eventually got it to lock, but when I was inside the room had to put a chair against the door as I was unsure if it was locked from outside as I was a lone female traveller. Normally stay here for work but won’t be staying again. ”

“Nice staff. But walls peeling in bathroom, door entry into room has huge gap underneath so you can hear everything in and out of the room. Flies buzzing around, bins being emptied at 8am next to our room. Mould in bathroom”
