We loved our stay. The neighborhood is quiet and the [property was lovely. Breakfast on the Lanai was wonderful. The lady who runs the B&B was friendly and helpful. We would stay again if we are in Hilo.
Great place stay while in Hawaii. The host provided a delicious breakfast and the backyard included views of a river. Quiet place to relax on the porch after a day of activities. I recommend this place.
Helpful awesome staff, easy check in and out. Great healthy breakfast with nice group. Wailuku River in the backyard; beach, Hilo shopping and farmers market within minutes; volcano in < 1 hour. We’ll be back!
A beautiful old home in a lovely neighborhood only 8 minutes from downtown. The host was friendly and the breakfast was amazing- fresh fruit from their own trees. Super clean.
I think this is the best kept secret of Hilo. We loved sitting on the porch looking at the gorgeous view of the large green yard with many fruit trees and huge palm trees in the distance. We walked through the backyard to a river with waterfalls. The hosts are available and helpful. The breakfasts full of exotic fruit were amazing. This stay alone was one of the highlights of our trip to HI. Guest books were full of grateful entries that went back for decades.
We loved staying here! The beds are great, the property is stunning, and I wish I could have these breakfasts every morning. The breakfast they put together from their own fruit trees and homemade baked goods felt like we were spoiled every morning.
We got to spend some time with Stewart and loved chatting and he had some incredible recommendations for the area that made our stay all the better.
Given the opportunity we will absolutely be staying here again. It's the perfect comfortable and quiet getaway spot.

We loved our stay here: Beautiful grounds, peaceful neighborhood location, comfortable large room, delicious healthy breakfast, friendly hosts. We'll stay here again when in Hilo.
Overall a great experience. Host 5 stars, property 5 stars, very quiet: 5 stars, breakfast 5 stars. Room size, no air condition, sink in bedroom: 3 stars.
We would book it again, but the room felt small, however we loved the great fresh local fruit selection every morning.
We were delighted to find this BandB in a lovely part of Hilo. The house is well maintained with a large yard bordering the river. The room was very clean and bright. The hostess was friendly and hospitable, served us a delicious breakfast with a variety of fruits and fresh baked pastries, and packed us a breakfast to go when we needed to leave early.

What a nice stay and unique experience. We stayed in this B&B for two nights. The host served us breakfast with home made fresh fruits which is absolutely tasty. We also chatted with other guest and felt pretty relax on the huge backyard full of fruit trees. This place is located in a convenient place near hilo downtown . Highly recommend !
We had a wonderful stay at the Old Hawaiian B&B and highly recommend this place. Breakfast each morning was a real highlight, with fresh fruits and delicious homemade pastries.
The property is set in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood and surrounded by a lush tropical garden, with an impressive cliffside view that makes the setting feel truly special. It is also very conveniently located, just a short drive from downtown Hilo, as well as swimming and snorkeling beaches and the beautiful bayfront gardens.
Our host, Stewart, was very friendly and attentive to all our needs. He generously shared great tips on places to visit, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
We would definitely consider coming back.

We loved our stay at Old Hawaiian B and B! The room was cozy and clean, the peoperty is beautiful, and the hosts are extremely welcoming. Breakfast is also a highlight - fruit from the backyard, assorted home made breads, and a hard boiled egg and yogurt. Fantastic start to the day! We would definitely stay here again if we wind up around Hilo in the future!
The hosts are very friendly. The breakfast is great with local fruits and homemade breads. The grounds around the house are beautiful making breakfast on the porch very enjoyable.
Lory and Stewart were fantastic hosts. The room was perfect for a couple! Was a great base for Hawaii Volcanoes National Park! Lots of dining options about 5 minutes away.
