Dormy House Hotel

6/10 Okay

"Parking is good, the room was spacious, but a little bit tired tbh. The breakfast is supplied in your room (cereal etc). The most disappointing aspect was the evening meal. I had fish and chips, I ordered it and it appeared literally within a minute. The fish was not fresh, the chips were not twice fried homemade as per the menu, but frozen chips and the peas were dry, I left most of it. I told the waiter and was just told that he would feedback to the kitchen."

The Globe Inn Wells

"Wells next the sea is, as always, simply stunning and unique. The Globe Hotel is well situated in a leafy area of Wells. The room was okay, if a little tired, decor wise ie: paintwork needed touching up, but was clean and well stocked with beverages both hot and cold. The bed was a tad uncomfortable for sleeping, it felt like a well used mattress. On the whole the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was well presented with a good choice of hot dishes along with continental food."

The Pheasant Hotel, Holt, Norfolk

"We had a lovely time at the Pheasant Hotel, the staff were very hard working, could not do any more to make our stay relaxing, happy smiling staff, the hotel was on a country lane so very quite, food was delicious ,room was good, quiet, view was just of the grass bank, but we were only in the room to sleep. In a good position to explore all of the coast line, which was just beautiful .We would happily go back to this hotel."

The Quay B&B

"This B&B is all about the location, which is great, right on the quay, our room even had views of the quay and boats which was a pleasant surprise. Everything is walkable. We parked our car in the Stearmans Yard Car Park and didn't use our car until check out. Plenty of restaurants and pubs within 5-10 minute walk, a little bus behind the B&B takes you to the beach if you don't want to walk, although its £2pp each way! The beach is amazing, a must do if you are staying, we went for a few hours every day of our stay, the dogs loved it. Our room had a fridge, kettle, great bed, a view of the quay and got good Wi-fi signal. It was perfectly adequate, it is a little tired with stained carpet and loose fixtures but not an issue for us at all. Karen was a great host. My only negatives, which is just me, the breakfast wasn't to my taste, not a great selection to tempt me, but there was cereals, toast and pastries which is good, but we decided to go find a cooked breakfast somewhere else, which was fine, we didn't book the room for the breakfast. I also never understand the charge per dog anywhere we stay. You don't pay additional for the room per humans, but do for dogs, you may say additional cleaning, but my dogs aren't any dirtier than a human and I'm sure didn't leave a mess that required additional cleaning. But every where charges it, so this is no reflection on the place, just mine own gripe. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely return."

The Longham White Horse

"Had a one night stay as a solo traveller whilst coming to watch the British Touring Cars at Snetterton - spacious room and despite the hot weather spell we had due to the positioning of the room was very cool and got a great nights sleep! Great for stargazing as once the lights are out the village is pitch black! Can't comment on the breakfast as I was up too early to get to the track but would fully recommend if you want a relaxing stay away the the hustle and bustle."

"We upgraded for a spa suite and were not disappointed! It included a lovely sitting area, big bathroom with shower & bath and a very comfortable bed. As well as straight access into the spa area. The lady on reception was very helpful when we checked in. The room was modern, clean and really spacious. There is also a mini fridge and bits for tea, coffee & hot chocolate and bonus cookies which were a lovely extra. The spa was very busy when we stayed but we still managed to try all the areas we wanted to and found places to relax. Must add that the breakfast and Piefeast were really good, very tasty food and a great range to try."
