Loved my one night stay here. Close enough to resteraunts and shops (a bit of a drive to the Spit), but in a good location overall. The room was clean, with beautiful views. Staff was incredibly helpful, pointing out things to do and places to eat. Overall loved it here and would love to come back someday!
This hotel is an extremely comfortable and clean! The owners have done an amazing job restoring this historic hotel making it cozy with sweet touches of nostalgia and all the necessities. The owners are helpful and kind with suggestions for the best local eateries and sights. We can’t wait to go back!
I was super lucky to find this place!!! It was recently renovated to adorable interior design (better than the pic!). The owners were very friendly and helpful. Gave us lots of great advices. They also had bear spray to borrow for a hike to the glacier. Amazing service!!! Highly highly recommend.
The owners were super kind and did their best to work with me when I had to quickly check out. The rooms are light and airy but that means you really need the sleeping mask they provide in the summer if you’re sensitive to light while sleeping.
Cheyenne the co-owner was a wonderful host and gave great concierge services too! She provided a great to-do-list for Homer with recommended restaurants, coffee shops, and activities. I went to multiple different places to eat based on her recommendation, and also took the Mako water taxi ride-along last minute which was so worth it!
The hotel itself is very charming and cozy, and the room was spacious and clean. The personal touch and information offered by Cheyenne makes me want to visit Homer again. And I definitely plan on booking Moosetide again when I do!
You know that moment when you discover a new gem - just before the world finds about it? That’s what it feels like at the Moosetide Hotel. Amazing story. Amazing stay. Extraordinary couple who brought this historic spot back from the brink. Great Alaska and Homer artifacts. This is a place to make special note of. I will be back.
The couple did a great job renovating this historical hotel. They are very friendly, even lending us their waterproof boots to go to the beach during low tide. If you visit Homer and not in a RV, we highly recommend staying here. Good price, great service and hospitality. I might come to Homer again with my sister and will stay in Moosetide again. Also we got lucky to spot a teenager moose munching outside of our window :).
Our stay at the Moosetide hotel was fabulous. This historic hotel is newly renovated. The owners carefully curated the room decorations. Beds were comfortable and everything worked great. The hotel lobby has coffee, tea and water. The lobby area is comfortable and has several places to sit.
The owners are very knowledgeable about Homer and provided us with a concierge experience. Upon arrival we received a list of things to do if you had a day in Homer. We got many recommendations on food and activities. They both made our stay in Homer easy and memorable.
We would highly recommend a stay here.
Sometimes a hotel looks too good to be true! That is not the case with this hotel. It is as good as it looks in the pictures and better!
Cheyenne and Angie have worked hard to renovate this hotel and make it a special spot for visitors to land. And it shows in all the many details. And one of those details is Cheyenne and Angie themselves. They went above and beyond to welcome us and make sure every need was met. And they were there to greet you every time you walked in the door with a smile and how was your day. It was a hotel with a bed and breakfast vibe.
My wife has many scent allergies and it was clear they’ve taken care and precautions to make this a clean space without artificial chemicals and scents.
We’ve traveled all over the world and stayed in some of the nicest hotels and we can honestly say this place stands with the best of them in service , cleanliness, comfort, hospitality and atmosphere.
We will be back someday for sure!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moose Tide Hotel in Homer, AK. This beautifully restored historic hotel combines modern furnishings and decor with a warm, personal touch. The owners were incredibly accommodating and provided excellent recommendations on local restaurants, attractions, and amenities. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully updated. The location is convenient, and Homer itself is a wonderful place to visit. We highly recommend Moose Tide Hotel for anyone looking for a unique and welcoming Alaskan experience.
The owners of the Moosetide Hotel are warm and welcoming and proud of their beautiful historic property, which they had spent months renovating and had just opened this spring. The lobby is gorgeous, the hotel is central to “local” Homer, and the rooms are spic and span and full of tasteful touches. Cheyenne even offered to loan me her rubber boots for exploring the tidal pools, which shows you how thoughtful they are.
We had such a lovely stay at this charming hotel in a quiet and pleasant area of Homer, with great cafés and good food nearby.
The hotel has been beautifully renovated with great taste, love, and attention to detail by a wonderful couple. They made us feel very welcome and gave us excellent recommendations for the most beautiful and worthwhile places to visit in Homer.
Hearing their story was truly heartwarming, and it made the stay feel even more special. This is exactly the kind of place you feel happy to support. Cozy, personal, and full of heart.
The owners and hosts of the property were excellent, and went above and beyond!! You know they love their town, and take pride in their business. If your looking for something locally owned and people that are passionate, this is the place!!
I really enjoyed our stay here. The lobby was really cute and welcoming. The staff were really inviting and friendly, rooms and building were clean. I think the only thing is that I wish the rooms had a mini fridge in them for the price point as it is pretty comparable with the other bigger hotels in the area. I really have no complaints otherwise, I was really happy with our stay.
Honestly the hospitality of The Moosetide was exemplary. They went out of their way to ensure we had a positive experience-including helpful recommendations and tips. Their care, passion and commitment to their customers was experienced by each member of our family. I would highly recommend-The Moosetide!
