Great little gem… newly renovated… clean and very comfortable space…great location just off Main Street in town. Close to the spit but much closer to some very eclectic eateries in town. Owners could not have been nicer or more helpful.
My wife and I made a day trip from Anchorage to Homer. The Moosetide was the perfect stay. It is clean and beautiful. Cheyenne was a remarkable host who gave us all the inside information about things to do in the area. We plan to go back and stay again, though next time we'll come two weeks earlier (we came in mid September) to enjoy the end of the fishing/fresh-catch season.
Loved my one night stay here. Close enough to resteraunts and shops (a bit of a drive to the Spit), but in a good location overall. The room was clean, with beautiful views. Staff was incredibly helpful, pointing out things to do and places to eat. Overall loved it here and would love to come back someday!
This hotel is an extremely comfortable and clean! The owners have done an amazing job restoring this historic hotel making it cozy with sweet touches of nostalgia and all the necessities. The owners are helpful and kind with suggestions for the best local eateries and sights. We can’t wait to go back!
I was super lucky to find this place!!! It was recently renovated to adorable interior design (better than the pic!). The owners were very friendly and helpful. Gave us lots of great advices. They also had bear spray to borrow for a hike to the glacier. Amazing service!!! Highly highly recommend.
We loved our stay here. It’s such a beautifully done remodel the space feels clean, modern, & cozy!! You can see & feel the love the owners have put into it. :) My dad loved the morning coffee & the fact the room came with a fan. The bathroom looked brand new. I definitely recommend staying here. 10/10
The owners were super kind and did their best to work with me when I had to quickly check out. The rooms are light and airy but that means you really need the sleeping mask they provide in the summer if you’re sensitive to light while sleeping.
Cheyenne the co-owner was a wonderful host and gave great concierge services too! She provided a great to-do-list for Homer with recommended restaurants, coffee shops, and activities. I went to multiple different places to eat based on her recommendation, and also took the Mako water taxi ride-along last minute which was so worth it!
The hotel itself is very charming and cozy, and the room was spacious and clean. The personal touch and information offered by Cheyenne makes me want to visit Homer again. And I definitely plan on booking Moosetide again when I do!
The Moosetide Hotel was cozy and adorable. Our hosts were absolutely awesome! The lobby area was fully of things to do with other guests and full of info to offer tourists.
AMENITIES
There is an amenities room, where we could borrow items and buy snacks! The variety of things offered were top notch! If we needed something that was not there, we could just ask. Which we did! Needed a USB type A to USB type C for my rental, and she just grabbed one for me!
ROOM
The room was so clean, and came with the basic amenities! Our view from the 3rd floor was great! Loved how the room was decorated!
PARKING
There was plenty of parking! I'm glad she informed us of the overflow parking, as it can be easily missed, and was definitely utilized!
This is an amazing hotel! First time in Homer and we felt like at home : ) It has great location, Angie and Shayane are very kind and welcoming, and the hotel interior is amazing with a lot of cute design and decoration that we can easily tell how much love and care they've spent on creating this space!
Such a great find. I love the special touches they give to the rooms and overall hotel. Sweetly decorated. The beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. If we are ever back in Homer, this is the only hotel I want to book.
Loved our stay there. The staff was so kind and informative. The place is newly renovated and love that was a smaller hotel, was quiet and peaceful. Was close to restaurants you could walked to if chose. Would choose to stay there again if ever in the area.
Clean and modern hotel with very nice hosts. Cheyenne was especially helpful with area information. The location is good. An ice machine would have been helpful, however, host did provide us with a very small bag of ice upon request. The only drawback is the music venue located next-door. Very loud music till midnight both nights of our stay.
You know that moment when you discover a new gem - just before the world finds about it? That’s what it feels like at the Moosetide Hotel. Amazing story. Amazing stay. Extraordinary couple who brought this historic spot back from the brink. Great Alaska and Homer artifacts. This is a place to make special note of. I will be back.
The couple did a great job renovating this historical hotel. They are very friendly, even lending us their waterproof boots to go to the beach during low tide. If you visit Homer and not in a RV, we highly recommend staying here. Good price, great service and hospitality. I might come to Homer again with my sister and will stay in Moosetide again. Also we got lucky to spot a teenager moose munching outside of our window :).
