“quite and peaceful ”

“Lovely stay at Kingscroft hotel, very peaceful location, check in was quick greeted by Wol on arrival ( such a lovely host) & taken to our room which was clean, big & exceptionally clean. Lots of extras including plenty of towels, toiletries, hairdryer, tea/coffee & biscuits. Bed was very comfy & bathroom was modern with great shower. 10 minutes to walk to centre of Buxton Breakfast , we aren’t vegetarian but my goodness we didn’t miss the usual bacon/ sausages! “Horrible experience. They gave me the wrong code for the lock box so I wasn’t able to get in until 645 pm. The place was a mess as well. When I finally got into my room it reeked of weed. When I told them about this they told me just to light a candle. I left and asked for a refund immediately, and they stopped responding until Expedia got involved. Then they eventually denied it. Awful service, gross place”

“Very disappointing stay. The room I booked was already occupied when I arrived. I was moved to a smaller room that did not match what I paid for three people, and my children had to find accommodation elsewhere. The place was not very clean and had an unpleasant smell. The kitchen was dirty. I did not even wait for breakfast. I chcked out very early in the morning.”

“It is a nice convenient hotel. Clean. Tea and coffee facilities were nice to settle down nicely on arrival and when I woke up in the morning. Mini refrigerator was handy to keep my leftover food in the refrigerator to eat in the morning. Comfortable table and internet. I give 4 star only as there was no toilet in the room and I hesitated to leave my room in the middle of the night.”
