having been here once before i was looking forward to my stay, however i was in a different room inside the main building, while the room was very comfortable and roomy it did seem a bit dusty and damp, Sadly during my two night stay the tv was unavailable due to local Aerial problem, while i understand this wasn't the hotels fault it was very disappointing. Also no fridge was available which i was expecting as my last room had one. The large bath tub was much appreciated . A lovely outlook and interesting building, nice staff just slightly let down on this visit

Beautiful old hotel near Gatwick (10-15 min by taxi, 23 GBP). We were upgraded to the Jane Seymour room which had a lovely back balcony over looking the pond and fountain. Beautiful grounds, you can see why it's so popular for weddings! The lounge areas and bar could be updated but were very cozy. There were many tables having afternoon tea when we arrived. We had drinks and informal dinner (good fish & chips) in the lounge and were very happy. A great place to stay if flying to or from Gatwick!

A wonderfully quiet place to stay and experience the history of England with convenient day trips to London, Canterbury, Bristol and other exciting places. The staff was absolutely wonderful and the food was delicious. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to England.
