โOverall this was probably one of the cleanest hotels Iโve seen. The outside could use some updating. It would have been nice to be able to use the pool. Ultimately it did the job. โ
โWe had a good stay at this location and we went around the area and went to places. Restaurants and bars and a McDonald's is in walking distance. Pool is a salt water pool and clean. Breakfast was good for being free with the usual stuff like scrambled eggs and sausage or bacon, oatmeal, fruit, cereals etc. Would stay here again no problems at all.โ
โThe house is beautiful and well maintained. It is a fun opportunity to imagine life in one of these beautiful old homes from the 19th century. A wonderful breakfast was served Saturday and Sunday. Simon was great. Friendly and full of tips and ideas to help make the most of our time in Dubuque. โFour Mounds is a lovely B&B in a quiet and scenic location. The home is expertly maintained.
Staff is available on an as needed basis but otherwise you are left to enjoy this beautiful place on your own.โ
โRobert was very personable and friendly. He made the excellent breakfast. The fresh fruit, pastries, egg dish and excellent coffee were greatly appreciated! Cloth napkins, personal service was wonderful. We even had a Kuerig and snacks in our antique room.
Location to downtown was great. We walked to all our sites and especially enjoyed the art show in the park nearby.โ

As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. It was a pleasant step back in time with it's antique atmosphere and original structure. It was my 48th wedding anniversary and staying at a family home made it even more...
โA+ tremendous experience from A to Z. Carol is so nice and the home is just Wow. Would not change one thing. Built in 1855 and it was meticulous!โ
