“Old and rundown. Feels cheap converted double wides. Rooms are the size of jail cells. Restaurant had great but ridiculously expensive food ($45 soup!)”

“Our stay at the Green Geysir Cottage was wonderful. This property is relatively new, with more being built. Its one of the BEST places that we have stayed in Iceland. The cottage was clean, comfortable, private and close to many attractions. Well equipped kitchen/great room area, very nice private bedroom/bathroom set up. The property hot tub was large and well maintained. We will definitely be staying her for several nights on our next trip.”

“Very kind personal, cozy stay”

“Ironically the absolute best place we stayed in all of Iceland. Amenities like a kitchen and hot tub and just the amazing view made this extremely worthwhile. Very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and responsive to my questions. Even providing suggestions. Location was perfect for the Golden Circle. So dark at night we saw the Northern lights in late August. We loved this cabin. Would definitely come again.”

“For the amount we spent for one night, this property fell well short of our expectations. Access was difficult, even with a 4x4, due to extremely poor road conditions, limited signage, and no lighting. Reaching our unit meant carrying luggage a long distance along an unlit gravel path in strong winds and rain, using a phone flashlight to navigate—especially challenging with children. The private sauna and hot tub were major reasons we booked, but the owners advised that neither could be used...
