Check-in person was very nice and helpful. We were given an upstairs room as requested. It was very large but unfinished. There was no place to hang our clothes. There was no light over the bathroom sink. There was no light by the corner chair (not possible to read there at night). One change from the last time I was at the hotel : there is a mattress cover. Not a positive change since it makes crunchy noises. Also, since they are updating the hotel, I suggest they attach large bottles of shampoo and conditioner to the tub wall. They should upgrade to be more sustainable and environmentally conscious. The small bottles of shampoo and conditioner add too much plastic to landfill.

Check in personnel was friendly. Amble room in parking lot. Room was a bit crowded with a small not running refrigerator that had been replaced but not removed from the room. About 1' of molding near bottom side of door was missing leaving daylight. Grateful it wasn't snowing and Blowing ... LOL. Room had smell of cigarette smoke. The price was right for only needing to be in / at the room for sleeping. Knew what we were getting before we booked & arrived.

I want to start by stating the staff was amazing here, but, the property was extremely dirty & very run down. The room was somewhat remodeled but was previously smoked in for years and you cant erase that smell. Since the hallways and other property locations were so dirty, i questioned the cleaniness of the bedding, i slept in my clothes bc i just felt it was dirty. Again, the people are great but cleaning the entry way and hallways and eliminating the smoke smell or at least being honest about it wouldve helped me want to stay for the entire 4 weeks i was working in town. I moved hotels after the first night.

Hotel manager was very accommodating and personable. We had one of the not yet renovated rooms but it was clean and good value for the price. I appreciate this hotel is pet friendly and has a nice little area for walking dogs

The girl at the front desk was awesome and helped with some room issues. She was a gem!! The place is in terrible shape. Pool was down. 😢 The room was not clean. Very dusty and dirt on the floor. Not sure if the sheets were actually fresh. 😬 I wouldn't stay there again.

Staff was great! I showed up super early to check in because we lost power at Trollhaugen. Even in the midst of a renovation, and a panic of other guests, they were able to get me a room within 20 mins to accommodate me! If I’m ever back to Trollhaugen, this is where I’ll be staying. Anthony was great!

This property is under new management. Anthony was amazing. He went above and beyond to take care of us and make our stay enjoyable. Rooms were clean, pool was warm, and our requests were taken care of. There is a restaurant next door with THE best cheese curds and lots of trails and activities nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a “good enough” stay for a night. The proximity to the things we wanted to do/see was good. The staff were friendly and my partner loved that they had a sauna. It’s a cheap hotel—nothing fancy, but it was quiet, the bed was comfortable enough, and the price was right.
