Ancient Hue Garden Houses are located in a quiet residential area. The rooms are nicely decorated in separate houses connected by beautiful garden paths. The hotel has two swimming pools, two restaurants and offers complimentary breakfast and tea in the afternoon. It truly feels like a garden oasis. Staff are friendly and the food is delicious.

Don’t hesitate to book this hotel — it exceeded our expectations in every way, especially for the price. We traveled with our 2-year-old daughter, and while we spent our days exploring Hue, returning to the hotel felt like coming back to paradise. We enjoyed several meals on-site, and the service from the staff was consistently warm and welcoming. We stayed for three nights and were genuinely sad to leave. The small details made a big difference — lush gardens, hand-painted walls in our room and ensuite, and thoughtful touches throughout the property. Staff are great, room was massive and comfy, spa and pool are excellent, all meals were wonderful (pan-breakfast with bahn mi recommended, and Imperial set menu with incredible vegetable carvings), just don’t be clumsy and break anything… Hotels.com indicated a free mini bar but that didn’t turn out to be the case. Still a great place to stay and would recommend at least 3 nights’ stay.

We’ve stayed at fine hotels around the world, but this may have been the most beautiful, peaceful one ever. A series of individual bungalows, French or Asian decor all in a walled garden with two pools. Every detail amazing from the fresh flowers and fruit in your room to the lighting on the garden pathways. Two world class restaurants, one French, one Vietnamese and an incredibly kind and helpful staff. Plus a fantastic free breakfast. Could not recommend it more highly to anyone visiting Hue.

I absolutely loved staying at Ancient Hue Garden Houses, in the impeccable Marguerite Duras villa. The attention to detail and the quality of the furnishings, the view onto the pool and the garden, the delicious Vietnamese food in the restaurant, the location (a bit out of the center of town but not too far) - everything came together to make me so glad that I booked my stay here in Hue, a gem of a city. A Hideen Gem in Hue

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ancient Hue Gardens. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the breathtaking architecture that perfectly combines traditional elegance with a sense of refined luxury. The atmosphere throughout the property is serene, sophisticated, and incredibly welcoming. Our room was beautifully designed, spacious, and full of charming details that made us feel both comfortable and indulged. The spa services were outstanding — a true haven of relaxation and well-being. A special mention must go to Nhi Le at the reception, whose kindness and attentiveness made our stay even more memorable. She was always ready to help with a warm smile, ensuring everything went smoothly for us. At the restaurant, we enjoyed delicious meals that showcased the best of local flavors, and we were warmly attended by another lovely staff member, also named Nhi, who made the experience even more delightful. Overall, the hotel provided a perfect balance of luxury and coziness, making us feel at home while still experiencing something truly special. Without a doubt, we would love to come back and stay here again.

It is very cosy, same like home, amd exceptionally clean but only is a little far if we want to go aound by walking, however, the place is truely nice, will visit again in future. The staffs hospitality is excellent.
