Small clean room, all staff very helpful and friendly. Location very convienient and not at all noisy in the room despite closeness noisy places. Pool small but nice. 24hr check in (not what is stated on expedia). Hotel was a bit worn and the bathroom smelt terrible (didn't complain as we arrived late and weren't staying long).

Wonderful family run hotel. Perfect location to explore the city. Very clean and excellent breakfast. Will definitely stay here again!

Hong Thien 1 was excellent value for the very cheap price we paid. All the staff were very welcoming, especially Thuy who was on reception when we arrived, and gave us a drink of choice and fruit platter on arrival. We didn’t pre pay for breakfast, but ended up having it every morning, it was delicious and so much food. The only thing was we had to pay in cash as we were checking out, 70,000 per person per day, which is cheap, but make sure you have cash. The pool was clean and refreshing. We would definitely recommend staying here.

The breakfast was good. The surrounding area was busy and close to the imperial city, also many bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel was clean and the furniture was not old. We even got a free upgrade to a bigger room without asking for it. The hosts are very kind.

The property is in a great location, down a small alley. The front Reception staff are great as was Soong. Due to a thunder storm coming through before we arrivwd, they had to close the windows. This made the rooms smell mouldy and lights not working causing my mum to have an asthma attack. The breakfast was not buffet, rather a choice of items from a menu. I felt for Soong as she was front reception, cook as well as people pleaser which i wouldnt wish on anyone. She did an amazing job! The pool looked clean, didnt swim in it. Corridors are small, building needs LOTS of maintenance. The shower didnt work so I squatted to 'shower' from the running water. The lifts from level 5 didnt go down, so it was a long walk for my 67yr old mum... Definitely friendly staff...

Would stay again!

Great location and terrific staff who organised a driver for a tour to the tombs and back to the airport. Great pool and the location is close to all food and bars, but quiet as it's in a little lane off the main street.

Disappointing Hotel

The hotel double booked our 2 family rooms for two nights. We had originally booked to stay for 3 nights. They could only give us one night there as they had no spare rooms for us to stay that weekend. I had to find another hotel to book last minute for the remainder. We stayed one night and the rooms were awful. Glad that they had double booked us. There were cockroaches in our room, Aircon wasn't working well so it was very hot all night. I would stay away from this place especially if you have kids with you. Not as it looks in photos.

Después de ver varias habitaciones en distintos pisos, puedo decir que las habitaciones no se parecen en nada a las fotos. Las habitaciones son muy viejas y estropeadas. En la ducha tocas techo si mides 1,90 metros. La habitación es grande y no está muy limpia, llena de hormigas. El personal es muy amable y servicial, el almuerzo está muy bien. La ubicación no es buena para el turista, es zona nocturna llena de bares y locales de copas. Por el precio no está mal pero es muy molesto que te muestren unas fotos y luego no se parezca en nada.
