"I do not know why there are so many good reviews about this hotel because my experience was very poor. First off, I do give five stars for location, could not ask for a better place then right on Hutchinson Island. Beach, several bars/pubs within walking distance, I was able to catch the sunrise on the jetty. Yes, a great location. The hotel itself is old and run down. I was given a key card but the swipe mechanism on the door was broken so was given a standard key. Hallways look worn, and need a lot of work to touch up. The door jamb was rusted and bent, I had to slam the door several time before it would lock. Furniture in room again worn and needs replacement desk chair wobbles, desk drawer would not open. Rusting trim in the bathroom. The sliding door to the balcony does not slide. WiFi was marginal speed test down 3.10, up 3.53. New smart TV in the room was a plus, the last occupant forgot to sign out of this Premium YouTube account (I used my own credentials for other streaming services). The last kicker was $16 a day resort fee for use of the pool and patio – really? I was booked for two days and did not get any maid service, so unmade bed and used towels for two days. This places needs a boat load of TLC. Sorry, I highly do not recommend."
