โDid not receive the check in code and property manager was reluctant to assist. Not all rooms have a Mountain View (mine looked at another building). The room is small, as in the distance between the bed and one wall was about the side of a paperback book (~8 inches), another wall about 2.5 feet, and between the bed and third wall/bathroom about 3 feet. There is no closet, no place to put a suitcase. It's clean and functional. โ
โHotel was beautiful and most of staff was very friendly. The one girl in restaurant seemed to not know her much about wines etc. Asked her what a delicious wine was and she said just some Iceland wine. Asked her in the morning about some delicious wafers and she seemed put off and she didnโt know. The place is down a pretty rough road is come from the national park. If coming from Bogarnes not bad. Highly recommend!โ
โFirst I would like to mention that we stayed in the cottage, so my review is about it.
Easy check in. The property is 5 minutes from town on a beach area, so there nothing around. We loved it. The cottage was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable EXCEPT the pillows which were triable- flat and old- NEED NEW Pillows!! Also recommend to have a mat by the front door and kitchen towel.
We enjoyed our stay for one night and definitely will recommend this glance. Breakfast was good as well....
โThis was the nicest place we stayed on our 11 day trip this year. The staff was very welcoming and the "apartment" room was fully set up with a kitchen, refrigerator, wonderful bed and private bath. The parking was right outside and the owner herself welcomed and showed me the room. Hope to be by again someday!โ
โWe were in Iceland for 10 days doing the Ring Road and I think this was my favorite place we stayed. We were only there for one night but our room was comfortable and the lodgings were awesome. Great views.
There was a communal kitchen and sitting area you could use which worked out great for us. Our group made charcuterie and hot dogs but some other groups there made pasta dinners. There were no TVs which we appreciated because we just ended up talking and laughing with drinks all night. We...
