I completely understand that hotels are busy and that late checkouts cannot always be accommodated. However, a certain level of courtesy and professionalism should be expected when speaking with guests. We were simply asking a question, and a polite response would have been appreciated. Even when a request cannot be accommodated, the way staff communicate with guests makes a difference. Unfortunately, this interaction left us with a negative impression of an otherwise anticipated stay."

"I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a bargain place to stay in the Grand Rapids area. You have to have some patience, as it is an older Hotel and they are doing their best to upgrade it and maintain it. They may need a better maintenance staff, but they are very gracious and helpful. There will be things that don’t work quite right, but I can live with that. For me to have access to Grand Rapids with an a 10 or 12 minute drive it’s worth all of it. If you are not super fussy and you just need a place to yourself to crash for a while. It’s perfectly fine. I feel safe and a family run business."
