We also liked snorkeling at blue cave and didn’t mind that it seems to be used for tour guides. I felt better being in the ocean with a few people around. Then back to the solitude of our house. Of course there are spiders and other critters given that you are somewhere tropical. The house lizards were cute. Make sure to stock up on anything you...

ANA InterContinental Ishigaki Resort by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful room"

Beach Hotel Sunshine Ishigakijima

10/10 Excellent

"Amazing experience overall. Will definitely stay here again if visiting this part of Japan. Amazing staff and views, exceptional breakfast and restaurant. Highly recommend!"

Art Hotel Ishigakijima

8/10 Good

"The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast line became very long and was time consuming and especially difficult when we had activities planned for the morning. The breakfast buffet was also very crowded. The dinner buffet was delicious but was rather expensive t $27.50 per person which did not include soft drinks. The hotel is family friendly which is great but the pool and the onsen were over run with children. I don’t have anything against children but it was crowded and children outnumbered the adults. I was there in July. After talking to other tourists I found that there are some hotels that have adult only pools which may have been nice just to allow space to sit and relax."
