We stayed at La Palma on vacation for a week. It was perfect! The grounds were well kept, and the staff were super friendly. The location was perfect. We walked everywhere wth no issues. The pool was perfect and quiet. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful hotel, staff is very very nice and helpful. Very natural vibe and is close to restaurants & a short walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again. The hotel is maintained very well and the rooms are large and spacious.

Really lovely property in a a great location near the centre of town and an easy walk to the beach and ferry. Staff were helpful and friendly, the room exceeded expectations and was very spacious and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and lush with a great pool. Would absolutely stay again!

Remote Retreat

A great location to stay in Holbox, just far away from the main square to be quieter, but still only a 2-3 min walk away from it. Spent some time working remote, and the wifi worked great, and even reached to the open air roof. Front desk staff was helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable

The hotel is consistently clean with fantastic cleaning staff who do a great job every day. I had a wonderful week-long stay, sleeping well each night thanks to the blinds on the windows and the quiet atmosphere in my room despite its proximity to the pool. The front desk always had someone available, and there was fresh water to drink (although it was slightly warm) along with a fridge in every room. The hotel is super close to downtown, restaurants, and there's an awesome Restaurant serve pizza and taco joint right across!

This hotel was more than what I expected. I got more of an apartment than a room. It had a a big living room. The bed was very comfortable and had many pillows. The room and common areas were clean. The pool area was nice and rooftop was amazing for sunrise and sunset. Staff was very friendly and helpful with my questions. It’s 4 blocks from the beach and 2 blocks from the central area.

There is nothing we did not like. Super hosts...!!! You really are their guest. The rooftop has a good view of sunset, although awesome view of sunrise. If you're seeking a great stay at a boutique hotel, easy to walk everywhere to enjoy Holbox and experience cultural living, Do Not Miss the chance to stay here. It's everything you could ask for

Great for familes

We truly appreciated the Family Room. Two nice and comfy bedrooms with 3 beds total, a massive living and dining area (no stove but with microwave and big fridge). It had very hot water in the bathroom and the pool was old but wonderful. In general it’s dated but functional and nice. I do with they provided more utensils and plates in the family rooms. This would make a big difference. We left some behind for the next family, which hopefully will be helpful.

We stayed at La Palma Holbox for four nights, and while this property has the potential to be a five-star stay, it ultimately falls to a three due to several avoidable small details. The location is undoubtedly its strongest asset, perfectly situated close to both the town center and the beach. However, the experience was dampened by the management's choices; cleaning only occurs every third day for "environmental reasons"—which felt more like a cost-cutting measure—and the floors were noticeably dirty at check-in. Even after cleaning, the floors felt sticky, likely from too much cleaning product or reused water. The rooms themselves are large and include a kitchen, but we were surprised to find no cutlery or basic essentials provided without having to specifically ask for every single item, which made the stay feel quite cumbersome. ​The amenities also felt a bit "budget," such as providing a single liquid soap meant for both hands and the shower. While the pool was shaded and didn't feel particularly clean, the proximity to the ocean does help compensate for it. Service was a mixed bag; Jonathan at the front desk was fantastic and gave us some excellent local restaurant recommendations, but the female receptionist seemed far more interested in her phone and friends than assisting guests.
