The Blue Heron B&B was conveniently located and very clean. It had a beautiful sitting parlor to play games, read or relax. Breakfast was delicious and classy. The only drawback was the street noise. Since it is situated close to the main intersection, the evening was quite noisy. Overall we were very happy and it is wlkable to restaurants and shopping.
Such a gracious couple as hosts and an elegant home. We were able to walk to everything and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast on the patio. We look forward to coming back again!
Incredible accommodations with everything you need for your home away from home trip. Thoughtful staff. Great location for walking to whatever you want to do.
The Blue Heron Inn was the ideal spot for our weekend escape! The owners were incredibly welcoming, and each morning we enjoyed a delicious, thoughtfully prepared breakfast. Our room was not only comfortable but also had every amenity we could need. Plus, the location was perfect, with restaurants and shops just a short stroll away. We can't wait to return to this charming inn!
Everything about Blue Heron Inn is superb! The owners, Charles and Rebecca welcome you as soon as you arrive and take care of all your needs. The inn is immaculate, the room is well decorated and the bed is super comfortable. The breakfast is a full meal and delicious. We definitely recommend Blue Heron Inn, you wont be disappointed!
Fabulous stay at the Blue Heron. The property is beautiful, the hosts most helpful. We loved the breakfast and 5pm glass of wine. Couldn't fault the facilities in any way. Bed was comfy, beach equipment and restaurant booking available, one street away from downtown, what more could you want? Definitely recommend.
Fabulous location very close to Main Street - we like to walk and walked everywhere downtown; this location is not near the beach if that’s what you’re looking for; we wanted to be near the historic downtown and this is perfect.
Our room was quite small; really just the bed, nightstands, and a small bathroom. It was small for two people. But they were booked up and so be sure to check the photos of your room when you reserve.
However, the bed was very comfortable, basic amenities in the bathroom are provided. Susan is the caretaker and she was wonderful. She gave us lots of information on what to do in the area and of course she was the breakfast chef :) we enjoyed sitting on the porch, listening to the birds when we were tired from our walks and enjoying the early mornings on the porch with our coffee. It’s a lovely area. Very safe. Wonderful to walk and there are sidewalks everywhere.
I would definitely stay again
If you like B&B's you will like this place. Charles and Rebecca are wonderful hosts and very focused on pleasing their clientele. The B&B is spotlessly clean with great A/C and good food. The parking is a little tight but workable. Historic downtown is very walkable with lots of great places to eat. We never ate at the same place twice. We very much enjoyed our visit.
Where do we begin! The owners are fantastic! The food was scrumptious and presentation was outstanding. The location is great, safe environment, walkable to things in town, very clean inn, lots to see and do! Just a wonderful experience and we look forward to our return to visit again with Rebecca and Charles! The Blue Heron Inn is quite an asset to Amelia Island! Thank you for making our stay a wonderful memory!
The interior is beautiful, the bedroom was very nice, great bed. The owners are the nicest couple. Breakfast was delicious and served, sit down! Not a buffet style. Very nice.
We'll be back.
Perfect experience for this solo traveler. Perfect location to downtown historic district and convenient access to main road leading to Ft Clinch and the beach. Beautifully decorated. Seated breakfast experience. Afternoon cookies! Safe. Clean. Great proprieters!

What a gem!
Easy check-in, which was great since I arrived after hours. Amazingly friendly management and lovely included breakfast on the terrace in the morning - great way to kick off the start of a stay on the island AND close to everything!
Only thing is that I didn’t think of the 3-stories of stairs to get to my room and overpacked! Be mindful of what room you choose and how heavy your luggage is!
EXCELLENT!! Staff met us when arriving- very professional and courteous. The room (Hummingbird suite) was large, clean and very comfortable ( watch out for the stairs) They thoughtfully had snacks, wine, and coffee available daily. Parking a bit challenging, but even on this very busy day (New Year’s eve), parked in front. We did not partake in the breakfast (up too late!), but could smell the bacon in the morning. I can’t say enough good about this place. It is what a bed/breakfast should always be about! Bravo! We will definitely return- soon!
We loved our stay at the Blue Heron - Christine was so nice and the breakfast was amazing! Beautiful neighborhood, walkable and filled with historic homes and great restaurants.
