Absolutely loved this hotel. We had the best time and I canโt wait to come back.
I gave four stars for cleanliness due to a couple dirty towels upon arrive. Everything else was clean so it seemed to be an oversight.
We really liked staying at Seaside Amelia Inn. The room was what we needed. It was in a great location near downtown and near Fort Clinch. Access to the beach was super easy. The room was clean, and staff was super friendly and helpful. We had everything we needed. The only reason we took a star was because the room was very humid. We had gotten wet from the rain, and hung our clothes up in an open area to dry; it took two and a half days for stuff to dry. Our towels stayed humid and even items made of paper felt humid to the touch. I did report it and they said they would look into it. Other than that, it's a great place to stay.
Overall, the property was very nice and quiet. We checked in and got to the room, it was quaint and comfortable. However, when we went to pull out the sofa bed to sleep, the bed frame was broke and we had to put the mattress on the floor. In the process of doing that we discovered a pile of bacon under the couch. The next day the toilet stopped flushing and we had to plunge it ourselves. Despite those issues, we had an enjoyable time. All The staff were very polite and helpful.
We like proximity to beach, availability of chair rental, the breakfast and overall cleanliness of the hotel and our room. We have a queen with pull our sofa and the sofa beds was really only suitable for small children. Pool was very small but pool and surrounding area were clean. We ate dinner at the next door restaurant and food was good and enjoyed a dinner downtown the next night which was also nice.
We loved the location right on beach. All the people were extremely nice the weather could have cooperated a little bit but nothing anybody could do about that overall had an excellent time if I had one thing to gripe about is the water pressure they have gone green so there's not much pressure but just enough
Iโve stayed at Seaside Amelia Inn multiple times over the years and have always loved the location and the charm of this quaint boutique hotel. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have not lived up to the past.
On this visit, I booked a room that was supposed to include a pullout sofa bed, but it turned out to be just a small futon barely suitable for a toddler. I ended up having to spend over $100 on an air mattress and bedding for my daughter.
When I brought this to the managerโs attention, they assured me they would โmake it right,โ but no one ever followed up or even called me back.
Itโs disappointing to see the service and attention to guests slipping at a place I used to look forward to staying. I hope they can return to the quality and hospitality that made me a repeat guest for so many years.
Room was not ready as promised at 4 pm. Clothes from previous guest left in drawers. Oceanfront windows dirty and room overlooked another building before the beach. Breakfast disappointing.

I wouldnโt know what it was like to stay at this hotel thanks to Expedia. I thought I had reservations and when I arrived at the hotel they had no record of it. They were able to find it, but claimed Expedia overbooked the hotels. Over the 4th of July weekend. This left us scrambling to find a room. Iโll never use Expedia again to book anything.
I stay here multiple times a year and always attain 2 parking passes. I was informed when I arrived I would only get 1so my husband ended leaving and did not stay for our family vacay with our daughter from college who met us there. I hate this is the last stay at Seaside.
Clean property and great access to the beach!. Beautiful view and it offered a partition in the room which made it feel even more private when traveling with the family.
