"La Terra Resort is a unique and beautiful crafted, peaceful boutique hotel that we had a delight to stay at during our outdoors exploration, and trek along parts of the Nakesando Trail.
La Terra Resort didn’t disappoint, nestled amongst a beautiful quiet valley setting, tucked under the edge of the forest canopy and surrounded by farmed land, land that served to us our daily meals, with fresh homegrown produce.

"Easy to park. Wife would give it 4 stars. 6 yr old would give 5 stars for the rock climbing wall. No lift for 2nd floor rooms and would have life more space to open suitcases but overall nice place to stay."

"Perfect for those seeking a truly traditional Japanese experience- but keep in mind, it really is very traditional. The food may feel quite extreme for Western tastes, the onsens are relaxing but on the older side, and the staff’s English is limited"

"Beautiful hotel lobby and very friendly staff. Location can be a challenge to get to if the roads are snowy. 4WD / snow tire or chains a must in winter. "

"Loved the central location to Matsumoto train and bus station. The hotel was walking distance to the castle, frog walkway, Media Garden and restaurants.
The room was comfortable and loved the self-service amenities offered (toiletry options, coffee, tea). Would definitely stay again!"

"The staff were friendly and the breakfast was simple (green salad, two egg fries, bread with butter and jam, fruits, and a pot of coffee or black tea) but delicious. Personally I liked Peppermint’s breakfast better than buffet breakfast, because we ate everything that’s served. No waste, so eco-friendly.
Another thing we liked was a nearby museum. The pension is only 5 minute walk from a nice local art museum. We visited it after check-out in the morning. We enjoyed the collection inside the...

"We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Everything about the room was very comfortable and we highly recommend staying here.
The hotel staff went above and beyond to help us when we encountered an issue with ETC along the way to this hotel in our rental car. (The issue had nothing to do with the hotel.) We asked the front desk how we should handle this issue as tourists and their staff and management went out of their way to make several phone calls on our behalf with the ETC staff and our rental car company explaining what happened. The hotel manager even said that if our rental car company or ETC gave us any issues when we turn our car in, to reach out to him directly and he would help us which was a very compassionate gesture to offer us.
Not only will you get a nice and comfortable hotel room if you stay here, but you will also have very emphatic and friendly staff who will go above and beyond! We are very thankful to the hotel management and staff for taking such great care of us! "
"Very easy process to self check in, room spotless, great free drinks options, excellent breakfast (would recommend getting double portion of 'toast', which is delivered to your door at specified time (you must choose order before 11pm). Great location next to lake front. Would def stay again 😎"
