Top Jizobaru Fishining Center Hotel Reviews
Yufuin Akarinoyado

"There are three cats! One of them (orange tabby) was meow-ing outside our room and we went out to pat it. Staff were very friendly. The room was large for the three of us, and the futons were comfortable. There is a small AEON mall nearby. Inside there's a supermarket and DAISO. The supermarket closes at 10pm, so you don't have to worry about supper. The prices are pretty reasonable too! Cheaper than the conbini. It's a 20min walk to Yufuin Floral Village, but it's a very nice walk (provided you walk in the morning, before the sun coomes out). We went in August, and the heat was unbearable at times. There are bus options too, but the frequency is limited. They offer stargazing tour as well. It was 30 min of travelling (to and fro) and 10 min of stargazing, for 1000yen. Not worth imo, because the tour guide/driver will be using a torchlight to help participants take photos (because the location offered a nightview of Yufuin below). We couldn't see the stars very well because of this, which defeats the purpose of the tour."

"A nice onsen - the public baths are really nice. Don’t bother with private bath as u need to fill up your tub. The bkfast and dinner were delicious and wide varieties. The room are spacious. The only complaint is our room has no bathing facilities- we had to use the public baths to shower! Not so convenient but thanks goodness our room is next to one of the baths."

"An international experience more than a Japanese one. But staff is nice and tries their best to offset frequent miscommunication with front desk office. For instance we reported several time we wanted a Japanese futon room, but the room was prepared as western."

"Everything about our stay was wonderful — the beautiful scenery, the exceptional kaiseki dinner and breakfast , the warm and attentive staff, and such a comfortable, restful sleep. Our kids absolutely loved it, and we’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!"

"Liked: Large rooms Did not like: Rigid dining schedule. Food, while plentiful and tasty, was served at a fast pace as the time available for dinner is limited. Private onsen not worthwhile -- water very hot and space cramped. No after dinner option to socialize. Bar very limited and closes (hard close) at 9 pm. Upon asking what people do in the evening we were told-- Onsen (bathe)! It is not everyone's preference to take a hot bath after dinner."

"It was the perfect gateway into our Ryokan/onsen experience with beautiful & spacious accommodations in a super private and relaxing setting. Having our own onsen with view of the mountains was an absolute dream after a week in the big cities. The attentive staff were exceptional and brought dinner to our room that we cooked over the coals for a unique experience. Overall an incredible retreat to come back to after a busy day of onsen hopping. Truly a first class experience!"
