Really nice venue - enjoyed the Mangwanani Spa experience. The Grill restaurant was fantastic. Comfortable and clean rooms at the Silver Birch. Overall great stay!

The staff were incredibly friendly and the property has a wide range of amenities. The rooms need better sound proofing - I'm not sure if there was a conference on near our unit but there was constant noise/people talking loudly to each other throughout the evening and early hours of the morning.

We were very impressed with the property and especially the staff. We included breakfast with our stay that was superb and very well priced. The area is not great but been fenced off it didn't bother us at all. The security staff were very friendly and helpful.

My favorite place to stay

The Birchwood is a huge congress & holiday premise with dozens of small villas. Close to the airport and some major shopping malls. Several bars and restaurants in the property. All well mantained and in good shape.

First time stay in South Africa made comfortable!

The staff was courteous, the rooms were spacious, clean and modern with a good number of electrical points. The AC systems were very effective, but a little noisy. The hotel offers basic and premium internet packages with the basic being included in the cost of the stay but was more than sufficient for streaming and video calling.

Close to airport and good sleep and food

Lots of room and over 600 to pick from! Helpful staff and good steak at the Grill Restaurant. A bit noisy if the wind blows as it forces the jets to takeoff over head the resort.

I have often traveled to South Africa on business and stayed at many hotels, but I have never found a place where the staff were as friendly as this one. The hotel grounds were large and it was nice to take a walk. The downside was that the bathroom door was the wrong size so it didn't close completely, and the shuttle service ran every hour, so the waiting time was longer than other hotels.

Room ok. Well-serviced with small kitchen, fridge, kettle and microwave! Spa great! Door key didnt work well though and issues with the safe. Its was amazingly beding was clean but the carpets are dirty but the everything else is clean maybe you should consider tiles or wooden floors with small carpets next to the beds not very healthy for an asmatic despite all in all it is excellent

Airplane Spottertrip Johannesburg wonderful again, I stayed 5 nights in Birchwood Hotel and enjoyed very much everything. A quite nice room Nr 925 for only 50 swissfrancs including a huge nice breakfast buffett from 6h in the morning. Thank you for the nice big eggomelette very well done. All the staff in the hotel very kind and the free hotel shuttle with the nice drivers also excellent. I really recommend this beautiful hotel resort to everyone. I will return again.

I cannot began to express how pleased my husband and I were to stay at Birchwood. Everything about Birchwood was excellent and all of staff were excellent. From checking in to our departure. Nothing was too much of an effort. Just absolutely brilliant. We would certainly recommend Birchwood to all of our friends and family visiting South Africa. We look forward to our next visit and will definitely not be staying anywhere other than at the Birchwood ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really like the gardens walking about the property made you feel like you were not in the middle of the city next to the airport done very nicely. On July 10th, I forgot my cell with all my credit cards & identification on the dining room table. Didn’t realize it until I was almost ready to leave for my next flight. Couldn’t find it in my room so race back to the restaurant and sure enough it was turned in. By Lesedi, I was blown away as you hear all kinds of stories about theft in South Africa. I got the lady to call him so I could personally thank him. He is truly a good trustworthy staff member to have around. I even told the front desk the same. He should get employee of the month.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg for a week, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with all the necessary amenities. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep every night. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of keeping the room tidy and replenished with fresh towels and toiletries daily. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. It was fantastic, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Whether you prefer a hearty English breakfast or something lighter like fruits and pastries, there was something for everyone. The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The hotel's facilities were equally impressive. The dining options were excellent, with a range of delicious dishes to suit all tastes. The ambiance in the dining area was pleasant, making each meal a delightful experience. While my overall experience was highly positive, one small area for improvement would be the addition of bins outside for smokers.
