Rocky gap State Park is located in Western Maryland, 2 hours drive from Baltimore. The fall colors have not peaked in this part of Maryland yet, but likely they will in the next one week. My wife and I were travelling by and stayed here. The staff is friendly, room was clean, and flooring appeared updated. The bed is comfy and the breakfast is ok (as already checked on-line). The only beef I have is the room heater and fridge are noisy, but this is not unusual so I carry ear plugs, and you can of course turn both of them off. The room will get cool, good for sleeping.

First of all, very friendly staff and a comfortable bed! The place is in need of a makeover ~ very old and worn. And definitely not the place to stay for more than one night because there isn’t anywhere to hang your clothes.
