"I stayed for 3 nights. The staff was very polite, and everything looked very clean. The room was spacious and very nice. The beach is not that great, so I only swam in the pool, which was wonderful. We also traveled to Playa Norte for a better beach experience. The only thing I didn’t like about this hotel, and probably the reason I wouldn’t come back, is that I was given a room close to the entrance. My room was probably the sixth one from the lobby, and I could hear a lot of people talking loudly during the night, as well as the neighbors next to me. I even heard the couple next door arguing outside their room around 2 a.m., which was very sad. Since sleep is a priority for me during vacation, this was a big issue. All three nights I didn’t get a good night’s sleep. Maybe if I had a room on the second or third floor it would make a difference, but on the first floor and so close to the lobby it was very noisy, both in the morning and at night. Other than that, the hotel was very good. Even though I really liked the hotel, resting and getting good sleep during my vacation is a priority for me, so I probably wouldn’t stay here again."

"I loved my stay at Privledges, however the culture of saving loungers on beach and not occupying them for several hours is ridiculous. The pool was awesome, the staff, Edwin, Alex, Eduardo, & Samuel top notch! I would highly recommend this resort, all inclusive was the best way for us to go!"

"Great location. 2 minutes from Playa Norte. You can walk to everything you need. Restaurants all around. The pool is not the best. Looked dirty but who wants to use the pool when yhe beach is across the street. The man with the little souvenir store rents beach chairs or umbrellas for 8 dollars. Wort it if you are planing to stay at the beach all day. When we got there the front desk lady was rude. She had an attitude and was short with us.. I went and talk to an older lady that was there she was nice and gave us the wifi passcode and told us where the pool was and that we could use towels. Anyways will stay there again just because of location and price. "

"We are waiting for the transfer company to take us back to the Cancun airport. Had a great time. The king deluxe room fit our needs well. Didn't stay in the room much since discovering the island was so much fun and lots to do. A golf cart was necessary for our adventures. Room was cleaned every day, breakfast was yummy, and we slept like babies. The roof top dipping pool and sunning area was cool. Beach access across the road was nice, too. Always a cool breeze that helped beat the heat during the warm afternoons. Fresh water, showering needs, and toiletries were furnished. Can say enough about the friendly staff."

"We enjoyed a drink on the patio, staff was very friendly and helpful. We rented a golf cart from the hotel. It’s a great way to see the island. Room was clean and property was beautiful. "

"3 weeks before our trip the property reached out saying there was a "glitch" and we would no longer get the 4-bedroom unit on the first floor we paid for. Instead they downgraded us to a second floor 3 bedroom unit with double beds instead of queens. Without any mention of monetary compensation. It took over a week of pleading for them to change it to a 3 bedroom with queen beds. "

"AC worked well, the room was nice and clean. I had issues paying by credit card and had to get cash at the ATM twice as there was a limit on how much I could withdraw daily. Overall, with fees and exchange rate impacts, I paid more for the stay than I was promised through Expedia."

"The Mayan Monkey is a very attractive place located in the South of Isla Mujeres. It is very quiet, right on the ocean, but located far from nightlife and restaurants. A city bus or taxi can take you to the more active north part of the island. We paid for an included breakfast for 3 days. On the first day the service took more than an hour and the eggs we ordered over medium came back as sunny side up. The second day the eggs came back over hard. The third day we tried to cancel the breakfast but the manager refused to refund the money. They provided only 2 coffee pods for the in-room coffee pot for a 3 day stay and said we would need to pay if we wanted any more. The staff were very pleasant, however. "

"While the property had great possibility, sadly the entire stay felt disjointed due to the way things are run. Example- rooftop pool that has no food/bar available…even though there is a restaurant on the rooftop. The hotel advertised that the rooftop bar was open at 3pm, yet we never saw any staff there until the restaurant prepped to open. The staff seemed undertrained and consistently put into circumstances where they were unsure of how to fulfill a request. Again, while the property was nice, I would not recommend returning until management irons out quite a few wrinkles. "
