This is a very old hotel, and it has its nostalgic charm, but the pool wasn't swimmable and our room needed some updating. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. And even though breakfast wasn't included it was a very nice breakfast.

After staying over many years the highlight was always the breakfast buffet - even as latte as last Fall. Only to be replaced by a set menu. Ugh!
Room was not clean especially along baseboards as I discovered when plugging in light!
Paint is chipped. Grounds need updating & paint.
Lodge cannot indefinitely rely on its past splendour
