“Disappointing. While the hotel is in the process of being extended and refurbished, that did not include the room we stayed in which although spacious and clean was in need of an update. The hanging space and vanity were tiny, especially for such a large room.
Eating out options at American River for dinner are extremely limited. Dinner at the hotel was expensive and service not to standard. While the staff were unfailingly polite, helpful and doing their best they were under resourced for...

“What a wonderful place!! So quiet, peaceful and comfortable! Our hosts were lovely and provided breakfast items and plenty of tea and coffee. The comfortable bed gave us good rest for our long days of sightseeing. The WiFi was extremely slow but we were able to bring up maps. It was good to be so close to Penneshaw and groceries and the ferry. Thank you for a memorable holiday experience! We highly recommend The Fig Tree BnB!”
