"We only stayed here on night, but it would have been easy to stay longer. Our basic room was quite nice and pretty large. All rooms have an ocean view and there is a nice walking path just across the street. Its about 1.2 km walk to the ferry, and very close to the main restaurant bar. Also very close to Hertz - Thrifty rental car. The hotel itself has a nice little cafe attached and is up on a bluff, so has a very nice vista . Staff were very helpful and accomodating. Nothing not to like!"

"Unfortunately our stay was cut short by bushfire but the day and a half we spent there was nice. It is a great location to explore flinders Chase National park which is magnificent and nearby Hanson Beach is stunning. The retreat even has some small nature walks around the property that we saw some great birdlife on (they have their own bird blind so bring your camera). "We stayed at the property for 3 nights with kids and it was great. Step out of the property and there’s the Esplanade. The owner had thankfully stocked jam, milk, vegemite, cereals etc as well which was very handy - there was always food when the kids got hungry at odd hours and most places were closed due to Easter long weekend. Highly recommend! "

"Over about a week we stayed in a luxury tent and an ocean front villa. Both were clean and well equipped. Wifi wasn’t the best. The luxury tent had a very small kitchenette and of course didn’t have great insulation so when the sun came out the walls got warm. When it was windy the tent flapped around a bit.
