“What a beautiful hotel, we had a fantastic stay. Exactly what you want in a lovely historic old hotel in a fantastic location in the Adelaide Hills. Beautifully restored, fireplaces galore, great welcoming bar and elegant dining room with fabulous wine room. Couldn’t fault the hotel, our room was so cosy and comfortable, gorgeous large marble bathroom and balcony (Tiers room). Good provisions provided for continental breakfast and snacks, great location, short drive up to Mount lofty lookout...

“New cabins were spotless, nice outdoor decking, great heating for a cold winters night. Loved the coffee percolator. Enjoyed a few games of table tennis in the games room too!”

“the Hotel is more like a motel with separate buildings behind the reception. However, design is modern, almost like a small resort, and great access to parking and to the main street of Hahndorf. The rooms are a good size and the bed is super comfy. One thing I am particular about is a good sized towel and their towels were bug and fluffy.. The rooms have a fridge, sink and tea/coffee which you dont really need given the great coffee in the area. Would totally stay here again”

“I telephoned and it was disconnected. I went to reception which was under construction and dangerous. When I found someone they walked me back to reception through the mess of construction to pay difference of bill and give me a key. Room was clean and was ok for one night. No chairs. Tiny bathroom. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Parking was not the best. Place is well located to cafes and pub.”

“The location was fantastic. The bedroom was lovely with the garden outlook. The bathroom needed repairs. Tile and grout were worn and chipped. Staff were cheerful, helpful and were attentive to our feedback.”

“Comfy bed with good heating in room, block out blinds, seating area and large bench. Nice to have a toaster and microwave in the room too. Aldi is located about 200m away so handy to grab last minute bits and pieces or meals to heat. Would stay again if in the area.”

“We loved our stay at Mt Lofty House. Highly recommend the daily history tour at 4.30pm. All staff were really friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. Our room was divine. A tip, the cookies are the best. There’s a jar left out and topped up daily but it’s a bit of a secret. We dined at Martha’s and after a really busy day, loved the easy going nature of this restaurant. We also had the 7 course degustation menu at Hardys Veranda another night. We didn’t enjoy this as much as Martha’s purely as...

“Loved the homely touches with the beautiful crockery and furniture around the house. Close to the town centre. Mattress was a little firm for our liking and extra milk for the continental breakfast would have been nice. Otherwise a lovely place to stay! ”

“Room staff location pet friendly everything was awesome, also noticed the internet had been upgraded thank you, only thing that sucked are drunk people drinking smoking around the kids, doors or windows cant be open because it just smells of smoke, n Shouldnt have to put up with drinkers & smokers, should be a alcohol & smoke free location.”
