"The hotel was everything it advertised to be!! Although there were clouds the first couple days, when they cleared, we had a perfectly unobstructed view of mt Fuji. It was like looking at a postcard, totally unreal. Our host was above and beyond. His knowledge of local to do’s, food, sights, etc, was great and reliable. We stayed in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Kawaguchiko. Although Kyoto was amazing, nothing could top our accommodations in Kawaguchiko. Do yourself a favor and and stay here. Thx again!!!!"

"Overall a good choice to visit fuji. Great views and friendly helpful staff. The location is a bit remote and a car is advisable. 4th room was large enough for a family and views from room are good. Food is reasonably good but set menu style so works only if you are flexible on diet options. Hotel style is unique, a bit rustic and less modern but is ok and they have free wine every evening."

"Returning annually for the view, with noticeable improvements in service especially at the front desk, who showed thoughtful attention to preferences like extra pillows and seamless room transitions. Takkyubin assistance was smooth, and both drivers and restaurant staff were consistently delightful."
