Unfortunately it took 3 goes to get a comfortable room. First night we were unable to sleep due to the noisy building works carried out and the sound of generators. Breakfast was not nice, the fried dumplings were so tough neither me nor hubby could break a piece. The fried fish dinner was extremely over priced and tasteless. At every meal we left most of it. However most staff were courteous and professional. Hotel is in a great location but unfortunately we wouldn't stay here again especially as we found several giant Red Ants in the bathroom, in the sink, on the bathroom wall and in the bath, and these ants are known for biting really badly.

The breakfast options were good and the staff was pleasant. The evening receptionist was very helpful. The location is good. Think of it like a upscale bed and breakfast I didnt like that our room hot water was not working and we couldnt get help with our bags because the person was not there yet.

I’ve been a loyal S Hotel guest for years, but after my stay at Altamont Court, I think I’m officially an Altamont guy now. The food is genuinely excellent — the traditional Jamaican breakfast is a standout and reason enough to book a stay. Ackee and saltfish done right, and everything served with care. The bar is well-stocked too, so whether you’re winding down after a long day or catching up with friends, you’re covered. But what really sets this place apart is the people. From the servers in the restaurant to the housekeeping team, everyone moves with warmth and professionalism. The ladies at the front desk deserve a special mention — super friendly, genuinely helpful, and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like a regular from day one. If you’re deciding between the usual Kingston spots, do yourself a favor and give Altamont Court a try. I’m glad I did.

Property needs to be updated. Old fixtures and would do good with some painting. Staff is ok - polite , nothing to rave about. Restaurant is good- breakfast was interesting they count how many pieces of food is on the plate and for some reason the food is always cold even though you just place the order. Need also better lighting in rooms especially bathroom.
