Nice location, average price for the city, however walls were paper thin as it is an older home- just keep in mind when reserving. I guess it was in the name! Staff were friendly and quick with communication, thanks.

Great location in the heart of Kinsale. Everything is walkable. The studio is beautiful, but the bed is soft, and the kitchen is not well stocked. No pans were oven safe. No paring or chef’s knives. More than a few cobwebs.

The room was big and fine but we did not know that we had to drag our heavy suitcases up a large flight of outside stairs and a flight inside the building. The towels in the bathroom were quite old and not to absorbent. The shower was very nice, however. The bed was comfortable, and the view from the windows were nice.

Bed comfortable shower very good Double room but only 1 bedside locker and 1 side lamp. Room badly needing an upgrade ie paint job as very dated. Towels provided were threadbare. Small outdoor area completely overgrown so useless. Door to ensuite would not close.

Nice lodgings

The location is excellent, up a few steps from street level. Bear this is mind if you have suitcases. There is a bar just a few doors away and there is some noise from here at night, but nothing too much and didn't really disturb us. The room we had was large & spacious. 2 chairs would have been better than the one chair. There was tea & coffee provided and a mini fridge in the room. The bed was comfortable with power sockets nearby. The shower was excellent. Bathroom extractor fan was broken and some of the lights were also not working. Basic maintenance items could be improved. But overall, a nice lodge for a few days.

The property was very centrally located and we enjoyed being able to walk everywhere. However, the owner took many days to respond via email in the days leading up to our reservation when I had questions, did not provide a fan when our room was very hot, and the cleanliness of the room was pretty disappointing. It smelled of mold/mildew, there were stains on the bedding and towels, and on the last night we heard scurrying in the night (I assume a small animal such as a mouse or such in the attic doors). I would not stay here again unfortunately.

We wanted to try a different type of accommodation on our trip to Kinsale. The contact was very responsive initially. Had to send a couple of additional e-mails as we approached our arrival date to get a reply. When the property was booked I provided a card that I thought we be used at that time. By the time it was used the card had expired and a new one issued. My mistake. Getting to the property was easy enough with ample parking on the street. What we didn't expect were the stairs leading up to the front door and once inside. Felt like the Amalfi coast at first. Entry/exit instructions were clear and easy to follow. Room key needs to be re-keyed. Took some finesse to make it work the entire week. When additional towels were requested they came promptly while we were out. The bathroom door would not completely shut. the Unit overall was pretty clean, but needs maintenance and upkeep. The building front door does not completely close and secure. A sign is posted on the door on the inside informing guests of that, but we found the door open many times going from/to the property. I would recommend older guests consider the stairs when making reservations. While the property wasn't quite what we expected, it was fully booked. Location is very good just steps from the Black Pig restaurant and a two minute walk to morning coffee and pastries and the Post House and Kinsale Bakery. About a 5 minute walk into town. We are thankful for the Old Dispensary. Grazie
