"Hotel was okay, area was a little sketch. Beds were tiny! Was asked if we wanted one bed or two, stated one, got put in a 2 bed that had the smallest beds! Fridge had a dent in it from a fist, so that was nice lol. Front desk clerk was super nice and helpful!"

"Outside the hotel needs some cement work done on porch supports. The room I had was clean and nice. The floor on the second floor was soft in front of the elevator; Breakfast is not included, just coffee. The hotel was nice, but in need of repairs by the owner. The staff was very friendly and helpful."
"The site is very worn. Definitely needs revamping. Not terribly clean: carpets worn, upholstery worn. Paint needs touching up.
Pools not monitored or very clean. A group of young teenage boys were in the pool unsupervised and throwing a ball around hitting into our group with a young child,
Our relatives asked to move rooms when theirs smelled like dog pee and they found a tick on the wall."
"Reservation made weeks in advance and yet when we arrived, the room had to be totally cleaned before we could check in. Others of our group had similar experiences with room not ready. The one staff person we saw told us two different times that breakfast would be served in the morning and as we left at 8 a.m. for our event, breakfast wasn’t set up. The price was right but the amenities were lacking. We also had to order more as only one set in bathroom. AC terribly loud … couldn’t sleep first night. We had frig and microwave, other rooms didn’t. Not sure if I would recommend it. Others in the group definitely wouldn’t recommend it. "
"Beautiful lakefront property. Enjoyed our one night stay in the Mission Point section. Would request first floor next time in this section if traveling with young children or a senior as there is no elevator. Very nice updated unit overlooking the lake on the 2nd floor with a huge balcony. We enjoyed visiting the smaller beach in the Mission Point section and getting drinks from the indoor bar in the restaurant right next to the beach. We liked exploring all of the different sections and could easily spend several days enjoying all of the different onsite activities.
The Strawberry Ridge section pool could use some updating. The children's wadding pool had a strange color and the whole pool area could use some renovations. The other outdoor pool near the lobby is beautiful, but did not have a wading pool for our little one so we did not use this. Good food onsite. Typical prices for large resorts in northern Minnesota.
Very friendly staff. Looking forward to future stays!"
"It smelled like smoke when we walked in. Gentleman at front desk was very kind & accommodating. We went to check out the room and immediately knew we wouldn’t be staying. Didn’t even bring our bags in - left and got a room at the Holday Inn. I have NEVER walked out of a hotel but it just wasn’t a good feeling by any of the 4 in our party."
"Resort was very nice, quiet and clean. The one thing we did notice was there were a lot of steps to everything….our room, the pool area, the deck area outside the pool to go down by the lake—hard for older people or disabled. Room was very nice and clean!"
