"Property is nice, but the area is not the best in Zanzibar. Beach is right where a working fishing village is located. Not very private at all! Property is nice, grounds are ok. Overall upkeep of the property is below expectations. We switched villas and the second one was better, but not in pristine condition. Villa layout is awkward. "Tulia is one of the best resorts we have stayed at. The staff went overboard to make our daughter’s birthday celebration spectacular. They made a special cake and danced and sang for her. There is nightly entertainment. The food was delicious. The ocean view is unbeatable. "

"Hotel was closed for renovations and they didn’t inform us before we arrived. We had to look for an alternative place to stay at night and Expedia was not helpful either with finding another hotel. I would never recommend this place because of the lack of communication and inconvenience caused! "

"Beautiful new resort. Very spacious. Many pool areas and lounge areas. Great friendly staff /service. Feels 5 star. Great food at the buffet and restaurants. But hard to book restaurants. We only were able to book one dinner out of 5 nights. Always booked up. "

"Very stylishly designed hotel. Beautiful decor & tropical gardens leading to a picture perfect white sandy beach. Gorgeous large comfortable rooms. The perfect place to chill after our safari’s & stay in Stone Town. Thank you to the chef for fantastic food, especially the curries. All the staff were so lovely and the service was great. We also enjoyed the low tide sea safari with one of the staff. We highly recommend this as a beautiful chilled place to stay. "

Konokono Beach Resort and Isaraya Over Water Villa

"The resort is just a paradise on earth! Absolutely loved our stay. The staff were ever very helpful and friendly. Shout out to Glory & reception team for always arranging our moving, Mary, Jackson in the restaurant for always being helpful. Aman helpful with excursions. Stayed in the beach pavilion, the 2 bed sea view villa and the over water villa to get the experience. Each and every one of them was amazing although my favourite is the over water villa! They were cleaned on a daily basis and it’s the first hotel I have had no issues with dust! Thank you guys. The only issue was the Masai men hiding to sell their stuff. It was a bit annoying. See you again soon. "
