"A great ryokan with very friendly staff. The Japanese breakfast was the best we had in Japan! Our room was nice, clean, and had an amazing view. Great location! "
"This hotel is in the middle of two subway lines 6min and 9 mins walk and next to Nijo castle. The hotel does not have a receptionist full time. But they will gladly receive your luggages if you have them ship and alert them. But this mean you have to bring your luggage’s to the shipper for your con’t travel which could be a pain because most locations are a good walk or closed on weekends. "Amazing clean rooms. Very spacious. Amazing location. It’s right next to the bamboo forest and it’s walking distance of all the food vendors down the street. This really is a top-tier hotel Onsen. "
"We used Ben's as a base for our Japan stay for two weeks(multiple nights in other cities). It was a clean and tidy traditional style room. The location was at a quiet area of Kyoto, but was convenient for travel into the centre of Kyoto and the station. Plenty of shops and dining nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful and we would happily stay there again."
"Great Ryokan experience for our family. Our space was very spacious with two rooms and a large clean bathroom with the toilet, sink and shower/bath areas separate which helps when there are four in your party! Fresh towels were delivered daily. We had a private garden to enjoy in the morning and although further out of town, there were a few bus options that worked for us and we would definitely stay here again if we found ourselves in Kyoto again.
