"Upon arrival the room was not clean at all. In the bathroom there were, amongst others, a lot of hairs in the shower drain area. When you shower, a lot of water comes on the toilet. No mirrow in the room or shower. The swimming pool is a municipal swimming pool open for everybody. One 100 meter pool with warm water, so not suitable for professional swim training. "First time staying at Sidemen Villa, I’m initially thought I would be bored but the villa is so tranquil. Waking up to the sound of the jungle & view of the Mt Agung from the bed is beyond description. Service via WhatsApp is very efficient and breakfast can be served on request with no additional cost. When we arrived, a few curious monkeys were waiting in our garden to welcome us — a sign of the nature and charm that defines this place. The next morning, as I set out for an early walk, I was lucky enough to join a large family of about thirty monkeys on the first leg of my hike. They moved calmly and peacefully through the forest, completely at ease with my quiet presence. It was a magical and truly unique experience. Beyond the wildlife encounters, everything at Maya Ubud was exceptional. The meals were consistently delicious, the resort grounds were immaculate and lush, and the service was flawless — attentive without being intrusive. Each evening brought beautiful traditional entertainment that perfectly complemented the atmosphere. Maya Ubud is a place where nature, culture, and comfort come together effortlessly.
