"I really enjoyed my stay at Aktaion Hotel. The location is perfect, right by the ferry port and within walking distance of Ermoupoli’s restaurants, cafés, shops and main sights. The hotel itself has so much character, with its beautiful antique/neoclassical interior and lovely views of the water. The staff were particularly warm, friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. A charming place to stay when visiting Syros, and I would definitely come back!"

My only advice would be to avoid being put in Room 1 - a lovely big suite but right next to reception and the road. Not a major issue as rooms were well soundproofed but I would have preferred a higher up room with better views and more privacy."

The location is walking distance to the beach and you can either take the bus or taxi in town within 10mins. I had the ocean view and it was so beautiful!
