Fun Retro motel They kept the 1960's vibe and the rooms, shower, water, heater etc were all great. The only complaint I had (and it would be a minor fix) is that there was no security chain on our door inside. We put a chair under the door knob but for a few bucks the hotel could fix that.

This is one of those older motels where you can park in front of your room. I drive a Dodge Ram, and I really appreciated how the spots are wide. I could open my doors fully without bumping vehicles on either side of me. The rooms are kind of basic, but everything worked, including the AC. It was clean and quiet. No issues. I fully recommend the Welch Motel.

It was fairly close to where I planned to spend most of my time in La Crosse, which was my main consideration; any extra amenities would have been wasted on me. The person who checked me in was courteous; my room was quiet; access was pretty easy. It was perfectly adequate for what I needed, and easily the most inexpensive place that I considered.

By far not a 5 star hotel, but comfortable and quiet! There wasn’t bath towels in the rest room and tub wasn’t the cleanest but it was satisfactory for an overnight trip. Beds were clean and very comfortable! Didn’t hear traffic or loud people! Would recommend for a comfortable overnight stay.

This is an average motel , the reason I recommend the Welch motel is , I've paid more and got less ... When you need a place to stay to shower , watch a couple movies ,and sleep .This is the place ..It's clean ,comfortable ... Not a nightmare

Arrived and was promptly checked in and got into my room which was clean and didn't smell bad. Turned on the AC and the room cooled quickly. The bed was kind of squeaky but comfy and the hot water was good. Bathroom was dated but functional.

The staff here was exceptional. The lady that checked us in made sure that we had everything that we needed .Her name was Melissa and she went above and beyond during our entire stay. That women needs some recognition and a raise. I would recommend this stay to all of my friends just because of he hospitality. Thank you Melissa for making our Christmas one to remember .
