"Absolutely 5-star gem of an accommodation! We arrived early morning from Newark and were warmly welcomed by the staff, they stored our luggage and did everything they could to get our room readied. Over the next few days we went cliff diving, swimming, trekking, sightseeing and enjoyed a tremendous variety of delicious Portuguese cuisine and were given excellent local tips on weather/tides/whale sightings and more from the extremely informative staff. "Apartment had everything needed to make the stay comfortable. Some people complain about the stairs to get to the upstairs bedroom but at 63 years of age I had no problem. I would recommend this apartment to people that are looking for a place to stay. "

"We stayed for 5 days, location is great but expect to be fairly noisy due to the street below. Biggest downsides are no air conditioning and parking. The accommodation gets pretty warm all day long. Local parking is not easy to figure unless you are experienced with the area. "

"I had a great stay here. It was easy to walk to everything in town, and nice to have space more than a hotel. Great views and nicely designed."

"Beautiful apartment. Really large and well organized. Beautiful ceilings, deck outside to eat and lounge chair to relax, even had a reading nook with pillows, really cute. The ceiling had wooden beams and the decor was amazing. They even left us a bottle of Rosé. The beds were comfy. We had our private parking. It's a little too far to walk to downtown but we had a car so we were OK. There are some cockroches in the Azores because of the humidity, one found it's way into the apartment...

"Great host, very communicative and available but not intrusive. Everything needed for a self contained stay if desired, apartment cost and comfortable, quiet with safe and short walk to free off street parking , well located for easy access to explore Sao Miguel by car and to waterfront cycle or walking pathways, bikes included! Highly recommend for your stay in Ponta Delgada. "

"My family of five was very satisfied with our accommodations and will definitely return. The two win beds was perfectly suitable for our 5 and 7 year old. Additionally, they were very accommodating with providing a crib for our toddler rather than the cot. The apartment was very clean and equips with all necessities. The two bathrooms were a feature we preferred for the convenience and were highly satisfied. "

"Very cute boutique hotel! I really appreciated the art and little touches throughout. All the staff were super friendly, warm, and welcoming! Communication was prompt—the hotel reached out right after I made my reservation to confirm my ETA and ask if I needed to book a shuttle. Shout-out to the front desk team, especially Vincente and João, for their excellent recommendations on places to eat and visit, and for making accommodations to store my luggage and insulin. A special thank you as well to Màrcia and the restaurant staff for their warm interactions and great service! I will definitely be staying here again! Conveniently located within walking distance of Ponta Delgada’s main attractions. I appreciated the warm hospitality of this hotel!"

"DoubleTree Lagoa is truly amazing. The hotel front office staff were so kind and accomodating. The location was wonderful since it was a short drive to most destinations. As we were staying during the first week in Septemer, the outdoor pool was also open. It was beautiful as well as the bar/lounge area. We ate lunch one afternoon near the pool and it was truly relaxing. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day, lots of local cheese and bread. Love it when a hotel highlights their agricultural roots. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel in Lagoa."
