Our stay at The Wheatbaker from February 2 to February 15 for our wedding was truly exceptional. Traveling from the United States, we were especially grateful for the prompt, professional communication before arrival and the warm welcome we received from the moment we entered the property. The staff consistently treated us with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care, truly embodying their motto, “The Art of Hospitality.”
The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable; with excellent air conditioning, strong hot water, blackout curtains, and bottled water provided throughout our stay. The hotel is filled with stunning African art, creating a peaceful atmosphere that feels both luxurious and culturally rich. Small personal touches such as fresh cookies, fruit baskets, and handwritten notes made the experience feel intimate and special.
The team showed extraordinary thoughtfulness during our wedding celebration, ensuring everything ran smoothly and that our Family felt welcomed and comfortable. Dining was consistently excellent, with both international and Nigerian options available, and the complimentary laundry service was a tremendous benefit during a long international trip.
Security was highly visible, and we felt completely safe throughout our stay. This level of personalized five-star service at such value is difficult to find elsewhere. We left with full hearts and are already planning to return for a future anniversary.
