Nice!

Really nice place, with a nice view of the lake. The walls are pretty thin and our neighbors were banging doors late into the evening, but we would definitely stay again.

Beautiful sta, Clean, Simple and affordable!

This beautiful remodel in process is a wonderful spot on Lake Pepin that didn’t break the bank. The owners were super kind and we think they’ve done a nice job with this Motel rehab! We are definitely going to stay again. Thanks to Doug, his wife and the Sunset Motel!!

I’m from Lake City, and my entire family still lives there, so we were looking for a place to stay during the holidays where we could bring our dogs along and not have to board them. This has been the perfect fit for what we need. We’ve stayed here twice now—once for Thanksgiving and once for Christmas—and both stays have been great. We love the self check-in, which lets us head straight to see family without worrying about timing our arrival. The rooms are super clean and comfortable, and with the dogs, it’s especially nice to be able to open the door and have grass just a few steps away. The only downside we noticed was during our Thanksgiving stay, when there were guests in the room next to us and we could hear quite a bit of noise. That said, overall this is a great place at a great value, and we definitely plan to stay here again.

Cute little motel right off the main road. Stayed on a Saturday night & it was quiet! It's a bit rustic/a bit updated, a bit mid-century & it works. It's as charming as the town it's set in.

Beautiful view of sunrise and sunset. Room was decorated nice and cute details. Would be nice to have a table in the room. The air stopped working the last night and the sink could use repair. Overall though, it was comfortable for a couple nights and convenient to everything. Friendly and easy access. Let us have a late check out as well. Pet friendly a bonus and pool was nice.

Hotel nice rooms clean needs a little work no tables in room had to eat on the bed and not a towel rack in bathroom to hang up wet towels over all had a nice stay not a place for a week end stay

Great location across the highway with wonderful views of the river. Can walk to Kelly’s Waterfront restaurant. Burger King next door as well as a gas station. Cute little place for its age. Would stay again.
