“The pride and joy of this hotel is definitely the spectacular view with the rooms facing the pool, ocean and hills. The pool itself is gorgeous. I was disappointed that the men’s sauna was broken and be aware that the gym and indoor pool are open to the paying public. Breakfast is substantial with a decent selection. Coffee from a machine was a bit of a let down. The staff do their jobs but frankly I got the impression they’d rather not interact with the guests. No one really says good morning...

“This was the cutest place! I wish we could’ve stayed for longer. The cabin was cozy but still had a decent amount of room for luggage. The bathrooms were super cool, taking a morning shower in the jungle was awesome. And they have a kitty! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting.”

“I loved my time here. First and foremost, staff always had a smile and greeting and were ever ready to help me with any queries or bookings. The setting was intimate, with only 18 rooms, with coffee on tap every morning and hot breakfasts cooked to order. The 7.30am start also meant I was fully fed and watered before heading off on a tour, hike, boat trip, etc. My room opened up to the pool area, so I was able to benefit from that either side of the breakfast while letting the coffee kick...

“Great place to stay on the island. Close to the town and the beach. Very stylish place. The only two pieces of constructive feedback is that the AC works very poorly and the staff in the restaurant seems utterly lost.”

“Great location and view (king room suite), though parking is off site on street. Pool is not heated though was never used by anyone when I was there in April. Great breakfast spread- toast and omelette fixings, yogurt and fruit. Responsive staff to requests for help. Was a slight problem with a bathroom odor they tried to fix. Overall great stay.”

“The Angra Marina Hotel has an amazing view of the harbour, and easy access off of one of the main roads and is a short walk down to the harbour and nearby shops and restaurants. Although be aware that the only entrance to the hotel is at the top of a steep hill and there is no access to/from town from the lower levels. However, the hotel itself is dated and poorly maintained - the elevators say they're going down but go up, the roof paint was peeling in the pool area, the bathrooms in the room...
